Will It Be Okay? - Cover
Will It Be Okay?
Crescent Dragonwagon, Cameron Kids 2022
"Will it be okay?" a young girl asks. "Yes it will." her mother replies. This anxious child asks about thunder and lightning or lots and lots of snow, and what if the garden we planted doesn’t grow the vegetables, and what if she gets mad, or no likes her or, or, or. Each time her mother gently explains what they would do, how they would handle the problem, and how truly strong the child is and how loved. The final question "But what if you die?" And the mother responds "My loving doesn’t’ die. It stays with you, as warm as two pairs of mittens, one pair ontop of the other. whe you remember you and me, you will say: What can I do with so much love? I will have to give some away". A perfect book for an anxious child.
